Special conversation

There are some days you are hit hard with the reality of your kids growing up and how they are growing spiritually. I am seeing this in all of them. And there are times it brings me to tears to hear them speak of their experiences that touch their lives.
I went to pick up one of my kids who I will leave nameless to spare his personal feelings..
I picked him up from a school event and it should have been a joyous occasion.
He had achieved more than what he thought he could do that night and I figured I would still see the child I had left grinning ear to ear...instead after a few quiet moments he tells me that he felt like crying over something someone had said to him. Not something about him or mean but spiritually felt like crying for this other kid... As I could feel the tears filling in my eyes as I could feel his pain I turned to look at his face..Tears sitting in his eyes as well.

I silently prayed that I could ease his pain and help him. As we drove his pain in his heart was so evident the pain he was feeling for this other child was very real. I asked if I could do anything.. He simply said no. I then asked him if there was anything he could do? He simply said to continue to be his friend and support him. He later said through his tears that they weren't even that close of friends.
Not understanding why he chose him to say this to.

In life we don't always know who is watching us or will need us to just listen. I guess this was his moment to realize that and to strengthen his testimony in Christ.
All I could say to him was that I was proud of him not for the accomplishments he has but for who he is.
It ceases to Amaze me with the kids that the Lord has trusted me with. Then nights like this when I go to say goodnight to my dear child who had been telling me this I find him on his knees pouring his heart out to Heavenly Father.

How I admire the strength they have and the wisdom I wish I had. And pray for the wisdom and strength to give them.

Heavenly Father truly has blessed my life with some amazing spirits...
