I can't believe it has been this long and I haven't posted a thing.. I don't whether to confess and say life was just so crazy I did't have time or I had writer's block or what. So much has happened. I have a ton to catch up on but instead of doing the last 4 months in one setting. I will catch up the wonderful holidays and events since then later.
This last week we had major changes in our household. Hopefully for the better. Malcolm and Cole both got their Driver's permits. YES! The same stinking day. So that has been fun trying to teach both at once. Remembering who needs help with what part of driving. Luckily, Grandma J is brave enough to let the boys drive her as well.
I really have been trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. Yes, I know little late to figure that out. But with Nursing there are so many aspects that you have to get your feet wet sometimes before figuring out what it is you want to do.
I have just dreaded my job with home health lately. More so the time it is taking away from my family is enormous. So I started praying about things and realized I need to go back to the hospital. A hospital and go back to school. So out went the applications. I have been thinking alot about Oncology nursing. I had an interview on Friday that went really well. It is a smaller unit where the ratio is 4 to 1 instead of the crazy 6 to 7 patients I have at the hospital now when I work. I love the floor. They will cross train me for Chemo certification and eventually ICU nursing Oncology patients. I am so excited. They called Friday afternoon and offered me the job. They are suppose to be calling to give me the exact money etc.
I think I even cried when I hung up the phone. Stupid I know. But a relief I can't explain.
It couldn't be too soon. I have ran my body into the ground. Working 5 to 7 days a week some weeks. Working nights and days. My migraines caught up to me and I ended up in the ER saturday. Missing Cole's track meet. It sucked. Still not quite myself today.
We have been through Basketball season with Alex and Sebastian. Most of Track with Cole. And we are starting Spring ball for Sebastian and Cole soon.
Cole's first year to run High School track and boy can that boy perform. He has placed first in 300mm hurdles several times. He is ranked 24th in 4a boys 300mm hurdles. Pretty cool for being a freshman. And of course that number changes with the updates from each meet. It looks like he will be moved up from JV to Varsity next week to run the 300 hurdles and Pole vault. He is hoping to make Regionals. I absolutely love watching him run. This just seems to be his natural talent. But reality is he works his butt off to be as good as he is. I am so amazed at his drive to be better. Man I wish I had just an ounce of that drive.
I was able to watch conference with all my kids and Mallory which is Malcolm's girlfriend. It was a special treat to be able to have my kids for conference weekend. Loved the talks. It is amazing how the conference talks can really hit home. How they are inspired to be able to reach so many of us. I am in awe.
We picked our first tomato from our garden today. Not very big but none the less a tomato. Pretty cool.
Lots of pictures to post from Christmas and other things. Hopefully with the new found time I will have from changing jobs I can keep this up.
Here's a couple of pictures from the last month.
