Cole at his Track Banquet with friends! So proud of you!
The last couple of weeks have been a crazy busy and some what messy chaos. I started working on the floor at my new job. Starting my Oncology classes(wow that's crazy.
About a week and half ago Alex complained he hurt his arm at school. I couldn't really see any swelling even though he was guarding it. Needless to say we ended up the next night at the after hours clinic having it x-rayed. The doctor their said it was broken in 2 places. Yep and just in time for summer camp and swimming etc. Well, we went to the orthopedic and she said it wasn't broken yet wanted to cast it due to the bone bruising and the pain he was in. Alex now is wearing a cast and still trying to play basketball and do his normal stuff.
I missed Cole's track banquet due to work which ensured me that it would be no big deal. That night when I picked him up he had received the 2 top awards they had for Fresman/JV. Best overall JV player and Up and coming athlete. He tells me well I took a picture of the awards. I ask with you in it. NO! They are now on display at the school as plaques. He still says he won't be happy with his performance until he has a district ring. That's my Cole.
I am really enjoying my new job. I find it hard at times to deal with the realization that there are so many of them who won't be living this time next year. I do have to say it gives me a new look at life and how the little stuff doesn't matter as much.
Last saturday we had a great day at the temple with Dalton and Dakin going to the temple for the first time. I still can't believe I have nephews that old. Then I remember Malcolm is not that far behind. Wow, just seems unreal.
