1,226 miles and 6 days later!

1,226 miles and 6 days. 5 of which were no Internet and no cell phones.Texas, New Mexico and of course Tokio among other funny named places like Whiteface etc. Aliens, deers, mountains, snow, guns, and more deer.
We just got back into reality a little while ago. It was a great family vacation with lots of laughter. I have lots of pictures to share and stories to tell about our visit with my Uncle Chuck and Aunt Jolene. Let me tell you she is the BEST Hostess I have ever met. Makes me shutter in my efforts of being a hostess in the past.
The car actually got cleaned out as soon as we got home. Amazing and every one's things are for the most part at least in their rooms. We did some how lose a potato shoe ( that's what the boys call it, true name I have no idea.) One of Eve's new shoes and a cell phone charger. Go figure. Hopefully it shows up here at the house.
I do have to say it is absolutely amazing at their house in Ruidoso. In the mountains with deer coming to their backdoor waiting on my aunt to feed them. She has names for all of them. The kids were able to go out in to their yard and feed them and pet them. Crazy huh. But absolutely amazing experience for them. Eventually they were so used to them that they were able to feed them without my aunt being out there with them.
It took me a little to relax and not feel like I needed to be doing something. I loved every minute of it. It did give me time to think and I think this is when my Aunt and Uncle thought I looked heavy with burden. But reality is that it let me put things into perspective with my kids and family and work. We had a great stress free vacation that ended with us in Lubbock, Texas to see my aunt Dot and go to the graves sites where most of my family is buried to buy flowers and place them on my grandparents graves. Oh and last but not least a run to prairie dog town. Yes they actually have a prairie dog town in Lubbock. A few pictures for Malcolm to use and we were off. ( he has a project for Biology to take pictures of native texas animals) Really is anything truly native to one place? Evidently yes.
The garden looks oh well not to hot. Fingers crossed it will give us something good this year. Even if it is just a little.
Well I will write more and add pictures when I get them uploaded and get caught up on work.
See ya,

Added to post:
During this vacation Cole has decided he will go into the Army as a sharp shooter. He very well could be one. From what I understand he is dead on with the shooting.
I am not sure I like this though. Hmm maybe he will change his mind. I have to give it to all the brave soldiers and families of them. I just don't know if I am brave enough to send him.

Okay, we sooo have to go visit them, sounds like you guys had a blast! Also, I hear ya about sending your son into the army, I know I couldn't do it, so Adam and Aidan better not even try to do that to me. It was bad enough having a brother in the Army, lol!!!
