Six Flags

Yesterday we went to Six Flags with Sebastian's 3rd grade teacher and others. We spent the day there literally. We were there from 9:30 till close at 10pm. It was alot of fun to spend the day out there with his friends. Most everyone left by 5:30 except for Trapper and his mom Kim, us and Anne-Marie who was Sebastian's 2nd grade teacher and 2 of her kids. This is a really neat thing his teacher has done for years. The kids can read and receive a free ticket to six flags. She offers to go to six flags with whoever wants to and parents don't have to go. Can you imagine taking all the kids you spent the whole year with to six flags. She is great. Usually several other teachers and couple of moms or dads come too. This year there were 9 of her class that came and then several parents and siblings that tagged along. The kids had a blast.

It is so relaxed we find out where they want to go and in that section we stay until everyone has ridden what they want to in there. Then we move on. Sometimes with older siblings or parents we split up and go to different areas. But she does this every year. We have been the last 3 years or so with her.

It was great to sit and visit with Kim and Anne-Marie while the kids ran and did there things. With Anne-Marie's son who is 14 and then Malcolm, Cole we had alot of older kids to split up with. Eve paired up with Anne-Marie's daughter who is a year younger and they hung out which kept Eve happy and Malcolm had someone his age too. Sebastian had his best friends in the world there Trapper and Dreylan so he was beyond happy.

Kim and I took all the kids on the Roaring rapids don't you know we rode that ride 3 times in row trying to get Eve and Mckay wet and every time I ended up getting the wettest. Go figure. It brought back alot of memories of being a teenager and spending the day out there. This year we aren't getting passes so we had to get our money's worth and I think they all did. They were all very happy when we left last night talking about all the fun they had. Some complaining of blisters from the tea cups. How do you get blisters from that ride? Malcolm can he is a crazy person to ride in with the tea cups one I happily skip. Even with the only ride I road being the roaring rapids I had fun too.

I find it crazy how sometimes it can be about watching your kids have a blast and your content in just watching them enjoy themselves. And that makes your day great. It helps to have other mom/friends to talk to also to kill the time. I should say that we became quite lazy towards the evening and just parked ourselves in Spain for awhile while they road the rides around us and we just talked. It was a good day.
