Day with Sebastian

I decided to try and spend one on one time with my kids to build that relationship with them. I decided to start with Sebastian. Since I had to take Cole and Malcolm to EFY in San Antonio I figured what a better trip to spend the day with one of the kids. So Sebastian was it..

We started the day bright and early leaving for San Antonio. We got in town around 11 am. Sebastian was wired.. You would think being up so early he would be sleeping. Not him. After dropping the boys off at EFY we went to the Rivercenter and the Alamo. We walked around the mall checked out some stores and walked to the Alamo where we went through the museum there. Last time we were there he was little and doesn't remember very much of it. I was impressed that he was giving me the history lesson about the people involved in the Alamo and where certain people died in there. We had lunch by the Riverwalk and talked alot. After walking around that area for a couple of hours we decided to head home. He talked non-stop. Even when he started to fall asleep he would close his eyes and a few minutes later would be talking about the Rocketship shaped house he was going to build and the car that he designed in his head and wanted me to help him get the supplies to build. His brain never shut down. At one point I looked back and he found rope in the backseat and had tied one side to the handle on the inside of the roof and was talking about how he could make an automatic door with the rope in the car. WOW! Maybe I never see how much his mind runs due to always having such busy time and the older kids out talking him or not letting him talk because they don't want to hear it.

I loved listening to him and his ideas. Would have loved to had a tape recorder to record it. Heavens knows I won't remember it. He wanted to stop at the outlet mall to look at Nike and Reeboks. We stopped and he wanted to try on jeans in Aeropostle. I didn't think they would fit. My surprise they were a little big in the waist but fit pretty good. Can my baby be growing up that fast? Man if I could slow it all down..
We finally made it back in town and he was still asking to go to play tennis. Since everyone was gone we went to play. I had so much fun. He taught me the basics and we got a pretty good workout. Of course what else do you do after a good workout but go get snowcones!
He is now waiting on me in my room to watch TV. I wanted to tell about our day and post some pictures before I forgot the feeling I had spending the day with him. I have truly been blessed to have all my kids. Sebastian is one being the youngest of 5 kids doesn't always get heard.. So today I heard him and realized what a brillant child he is.
