It came and it was opened today....
Cole had his opening gathering today at 4pm. He had about 25 people at the house. Six kids from School Taylor, Matt, Jerome, Erika, Tia, Tola. Craig from our ward and his good friend Joseph and his brother. Jonathan, Aunt Stephanie, Auntie Darlynn, Grandma Wynne, Pa Wynne, Mallory, Dakin, Joya(girlfriend), Dallin, Jenny, Uncle Adam, Avery, Aidan, Summer, Malcolm, Alex, Sebastian, Eve. Via phone Aunt Michelle, Uncle Rich, Destinee, Dalton, Uncle Taylor. Via Facetime Uncle Jeff and Aunt Tracy, Jeffrey jr., Ashlyn. and Cole's dad.
When everyone came in I had a map of the world on the wall they got to chose one in the states and one outside the country of where they thought he was going to go. I missed getting the picture with everyone's guesses. Cole slowly opened his letter carefully not to tear the envelope. When he first open it he gasped. It was almost like he was taken back like he was disappointed. But then when he read it I was thinking oh please don't let him be disappointed. He read it and when he read West Indies French speaking everyone went crazy!!! Then I knew why he gasped. It was nothing like anything he thought it would be. But totally inspiration. The islands with the type of people he will serve. Along with they added a extra Region to his call. It is West Indies with Guadeloupe Region Mission. Which looks like it is just a small island. It will be a warm enviroment with lots of cultures to be experienced in the different areas.
I watched as his friends stood there with phones in hands video recording him opening it and being so excited for him. Then Tweeting about his mission call. What a great experience for him to see his friends support him. I don't know if I have stopped smiling since he got his call. I am so happy for him and the experience that awaits him.
