I wanted to find a picture of him as a baby on my computer. I just can't seem to find one. He has grown up so much. How does a child grow so fast from being so little. Well I guess he never was little. He was 9lbs 9oz when he was born and 221/2 inches. So well he was half grown.
I wish I could do how I feel about Sebastian justice. Can a mother ever trully explain how she feels in words about her children. He is an trully amazing child with such a sweet spirit.Sebastian was baptized the last sunday. May 18th. We were able to have most of our family there. It meant so much for everyone to come. We unfortunately missed both my brothers and their families this time. It gets so expensive to travel now.
Sebastian has said for years that he wanted his cousin Dalton to baptize him. Dalton and Sebastian birthday's are 1 day apart. They happen to be exactly 8 years and 1 day apart. So it worked out for them to do this. Dalton was ordained sunday morning to be a priest and Sebastian was then baptized sunday afternoon. I can't even begin to tell you or him how proud I am of him. It seems as your last one starts hitting the landmark ages you reflect on all of your kids and these times for them.
I went to Sebastian's and Alex's field day last week. It was alot of fun to watch them. Sebastian's I happen to get to stay longer. Over the last couple of years Sebastian has become known as the fastest 2nd grader in his school. It is the same way every year. So they were doing a relay race on quit a few of there events. Ok let me explain the team set up. They split the whole school in different color teams and collect the points throughout field day to determine who wins. On Sebastian's team are several children with disabilities. One of them is Sebastian's friend Brandon. He is in his class. I have been amazed at how the teacher is able to blend him into regular class. She has the kids help him throughout the days activities so he can continue on with regular classes. They all seem to love doing this. Brandon was on Sebastian's team. The kids on his team were so patient with those who may not have understood what was going on with the races and cheered them on. So during one of the events his team was a man short so Sebastian went twice. At the end of the race Sebastian went against another one of his friends in his class. At the end of the race the little boy goes I beat Sebastian he is the fastest boy and I beat him. He was so excited to beat him. The adults found this curious because Sebastian had started after the boy due to it being a relay. But when the boy came up to Sebastian to make sure he knew that he had beaten Sebastian in the race. Sebastian just said, " that's good". He loves to compete but it doesn't ever seem to be about making someone else feel bad.
Maybe that is just a little thing but I had to laugh. Sebastian is so calm when I know some of my others would have argued with the kid. I am so proud of who is becoming and how much he loves others.
Thank you to everyone that came to the baptism and back to the house. We had a lot of fun. It is so special to have the family around to celebrate the milestones in everyones lives. We missed you guys(Adam,Sonia, Adam jr., Avery, Aidan, Taylor, Candra, and McKayla).
