Let's see I think I left off leaving Uncle Chuck and Aunt Jolenes's house. We left bright and early in hopes to get to Arizona before the sun went down. I saw signs for some crazy things on our way up I think we even saw the largest Pistacio monument/statue. Crazy I know. However I saw a sign for White sands did not realize we would be going right past it. So of course knowing me I had to stop. Even if it meant just saying we had been there. It's funny becuase from the highway you don't see what the big deal is there is sand but mixed with grass/dessert area. We pay to get in and I have 2 very negative kids in the background don't waste your money we don't want to get out..etc.. I drove on and made them get out of the car for a picture. That was going to be it. Except Malcolm, Alex, and Sebastian were having so much fun just climbing one of the hills. We got in the car to leave and I had to stop to get a magnet from there. It's what we do you know. I saw the sleds and figured why not. Bought a sled and we turned around even with the whining from the other two we went back and don't you know they had probably more fun then the others. We got out treked up the hills and they slid down. I sat took pictures and yes ventured into the sled myself. Scary I know! I have a picture to prove I did it. I didn't want to be the stick in the mud mom.. I will save that for the real stuff I don't want to do..:)
After the fun in the sand we drove and drove what seemed to be a long drive. I was quite surprised. The kids slept listened to Ipods, text.Whatever kept them busy. The rest of the drive was from what I can remember now less then eventful. Other than I remember as we got to the border of Arizona the excitement of almost being there. When we actually got to the last hour or so it seemed like we were driving on an endless road with stupid police cameras everywhere. Finally we made it in to Arizona.
