Not only is the hormones flowing in my house with 3 teenagers and a preteen. But the love hormones as well. As of yesterday 4 of my 5 kids have a significant other.. Hmm I have been having lots of boy/girl talks with my older boys. Again with Malcolm last night.
He just gives me this look;
"Mom I know we have had this talk trust me I am listening"
I quickly reassured him that we will continue to have this talk quite frequently until he is married..
UGH!
Like I enjoy this talk as well. But come on now kids know things earlier and earlier these days.
I started wondering today if everyone does this. How much details do you go into with your kids and at what age. I realized real fast with my older ones that I had to talk to them by the time they were in 4th grade and a girl came up to Cole and told him she wanted to have sex with him. Man was that a long talk.Since he had no clue what that was.
Do you leave it for them to learn from their friends. NO! And for me leaving it to them to learn it from their dad that was another NO! So there for the talk had to come..
What is weird is that I find it harder to talk to my daughter about it then my boys..hmm go figure.
