Ok, I will go on for a minute or so. My mom turns well (do I say her age) let's just say she turned 60 last year!:) My mom has been so great over the years. I look back at all the things that she has taught us and I wonder if she really realizes how much she means to me and my kids. She moved away from here to take care of her parents in 1994. She stayed there and took such wonderful care of both her mom and dad until her father past in november of last year. Her compassion for both of them taught me so much about a child's love for their parents. It wasn't easy for her to move their and be away from her children and grandchildren. Especially when she would come visit and she had to go home.
I am so glad she made the decision to move out to Midland. At one point I moved out to Midland and stayed for several years. I needed to be closer to my mom and get things figured out. But by doing this I was blessed with building a close relationship to my grandfather. I had the opportunity to see how much he cared for his family and sneak private visits with him away from my kids and mom and whoever else was there. I would go to his house and take desert to him before I picked up my kids from daycare after work. I watched as he became ill and his health declined. All of us that were their moved away. And she stayed and took care of her dad dilegently every day. Took off work when he needed her and was his rock when he needed someone to be there. Even when he may not have realized it she was watching out for him. For many years after my grandmother passed away she worked 2 jobs one her full-time job and then to watch over him. I really admire her for her strength and love. Not only did I develop a relationship with my grandfather that I didn't have as a child but my kids became a regular at his house. There would be times when my mom lived next door to Grandfather (granddy) that I would turn around and Cole would be gone. He would sneak over to Granddy's house to visit. I always knew to look there first. All of my kids built a special bond with him that I know we would not have had if she hadn't taken time out of her life to take care of him. I am afraid I may have stayed to busy to see what I could have with Granddy.
My mom also taught us to shop the SALES! And I will tell you what with 5 kids you definately need to shop the sales.
She's always made sacrifices for us and I thank her for that. I apologize for going on and on but sometimes you realize that you just don't say it enough to the people you love how much you appreciate them. There are so many times I can listthat she has done for us. For instance, if it weren't for my talks with her I would have gone and locked myself in the closet just to keep my cool with my kids. THANKS MOM! I am sure my kids appreciate that too.
I hope you have a great birthday! Enjoy Adam and Sonia and the kids in Katy. Have fun at Sea world this weekend. I think it is cool that it will be your first time there. WE love you mom.
Thanks for always being mom and loving us.

What a sweet tribute to your Mom!!! I'll make sure she reads it! BTW, you're not too shabby of a Mom yourself!!! I'm sure your kids will be saying the samethings about you!!!
Thanks Heather! I dont know if I could have said it any better! She is truly a role model mom for us and cant imagine anyone else being my mom!
I guess alot of good things came from her sacrifice of moving to Midland! I appreciate the opportunity of Midland as well! (Only now as an adult can I say that!)
