Just a little update

Today has been along day. At least it feels that way. I have to say thank heavens for wonderful friends who live next door. Angela was a life saver today. I have had a massive headache for several days and today after a longer than normal day at church we had dinner and the kids went to her house. Eve went to play with her baby and the two younger boys went to play with her other 2 kids.
That has been so nice. I don't know when the last time my house has been this quiet.
Now that it is official I will tell you more of what I have been up to this last week. I know the lord works in mysterious ways. At girls night out last week I asked several people that were standing there what Brother Butler was over at church. Being a new ward (newly formed) I had no idea. All I knew was he called wanted to meet with me. Which everyone that is a member knows it has to do with a calling. Somebody goes he's over primary. I went OH NO! Little did I know that one of the girls standing Jennie Jo was now the new Primary president.

Can we say open mouth insert FOOT!!! After talking to him the next day and then to Jennie Jo I felt so bad. I had to make sure Jennie Jo understood it had nothing to do with Primary itself just the idea of being around 5 kids week I kinda enjoyed the adult time. Doesn't everyone! I had never been in primary other than nursery so I wasn't sure what to expect. This week has been really good for me. We had the first presidency meeting this week and I learned alot. (oh i am the secretary) I am working with a great group of women. I just had no idea how much work it took to put this all together. SO I give props to those who have served in the primary or any presidency.

Today went really well. Especially seeing that almost everyone was new to the primary in this ward. But when they called people to stand with their callings. I could feel myself ever slightly wishing I was still in the ward with my sisters. It tugged at my heart I had to reign myself in.

Can I say I learned ALOT about my son ALEX! He loves to hear himself Talk. That is putting it nicely. All his teachers tell me how much they just love him etc. In fact his new teacher had just said that in the hall I walk into Sharing time to hear the question asked by someone "How many of you watched the prophet speak in conference?" Out of the corner of a room. As loud as loud could be!!! I DID < I DIDN'T WANT TO MY MOM MADE ME!!! I CHOSE NO SHE SAID YES!!
If you could have only seen my face. I was trying to figure out away of discretely walking up to him and covering his mouth. I figured that just wouldn't work. I think Eve had the same look I did on my face. WHAT? DID HE REALLY JUST SAY ALL THAT! Oh and he would have expanded even more I am sure if she hadn't quickly moved on. Later he blurted out something just as baffling to me but now I have put it in the back of my memory so I can forget.

Yes this is my Alex. I love him but he definately has a mind of his own and a mouth. He is my child maybe too much like me. I did find a new friend today. She informed me that she liked me and would be with me every Sunday. I don't know how that is going to work. She is the sweetest little girl but just doesn't seem to handle the choas/ or change of the situation. She reminded me so much of how my neice Destinee used to be. So we will see how next sunday goes. I may end up with a helper.

Ok the house I was so excited about didn't work out. Back to the drawing board. Oh yeah My kids all love this ward. They all made new friends except for Eve who came with basically her whole class intact. So all went well today.
One last note tonight at dinner we were talking about the new people we met and Sebastian asked the boys who the favorite girl they met. Not girlfriend material but favorite girl. He has met a little girl in his class he just thinks is too cool. She just happens to be the daughter of the 2nd counselor in primary. TO funny. Those of you who remember David Qualls he is now teaching Malcolm's Sunday school class. Malcolm and David neither one realized it at first. Until Malcolm went to introduce Cole and he's I know him. I reminded both of the boys his mom was the one who taught them how to do a head stand in my living room when she was my visiting teacher when they were little. She also was Taylor's cub scout leader. I think Malcolm will really enjoy the class.
I have more to say but late getting my children to bed.

Heather,
It's great that things are working out in your new ward! I think that getting your own identity of being you and not so and so's sister or you know, having so much family in your business ( why do you think I live where I do ;) is going to be wonderful for you! Enjoy primary! Better you than me! LOL
*****knock on wood****
You will do great! Good Luck with the house search!
