Reality hits!

Tonight we had BYC and SED. Ok in normal people terms. Malcolm and Eve had BYC (bishopric youth committee) and Cole and Malcolm and Eve had Sunday evening devotional (SED) tonight. I dropped all three off at the church at 5 or so and left them there.
When I picked them up at 7pm I figured they would be tired and hungry and bored/complaining. I did feed them before we went. Malcolm was having Stomach problems so didn't eat and wasn't in the best mood. I figured I was in for a long night.

Sebastian and Alex and I had wiped all the germs from the house. Anything someone would touch on a regular basis either got sprayed with lysol or wiped down with a lysol wipe. They happily did this. WOW! Then rode with me to pick up the other kids. Both boys in a really good mood. Not that this was unusual when it is just the two of them. But it was nice. We waited for about 10 minutes or so they kept themselves entertained in the back of the van and I crunched some numbers for payday this week.

Entered into the car the teenagers of the house. Laughing and talking started and never stopped until we drove up into the driveway. Wow, they were so excited about their SED tonight they did Jeapordy(sp)over the strengthen the youth program. They had so much fun doing this. We got home Malcolm went to bed and the rest of the family gathered in the den to watch the showdown of the All star game. Everyone picked sides and I sat to do work on the couch.

I was so amazed and impressed with my kids tonight. Teenagers are not by any means good natured 100% of the time. But it was so great to be that way all at once. A rarity I am sure. I can't believe I have 3 teenagers. OH my stars...Could it be.
I have been very impressed with Cole and Eve lately. They are working every angle possible to earn their own money with camp this year. Cole needs $200 and Eve needs 120 I think. Plus all the goodies you need to go with it. Eve has earned about $40 or so. And they are just getting started. They have secured $50 more for yard work they will go do soon.

I am glad they are finding SED and other Church functions fun and beneficial. I just couldn't believe how hard the reality of having 3 teenagers hit when they got in the car tonight. And Alex will be joining them in a year and a half. YIKES>>>>
Well I was afraid I would forget this moment had to put it on screen.

I am so thankful for my kids. I feel the lord knew how much I needed a reboot from something this week after last week's crazy schedule. And this was it. I am certainly blessed.
