Yellow van

There are certain things in your childhood that bring back all kinds of memories. My Dad posted these to our family website tonight. Man this was our yellow van. The van of all vans. I still tell my kids stories from when we had this van and made lots of trips when we lived in North Dakota all over up there and back to Texas in wonderful Hail storms and Tornados.
My parents would have a round cooler sitting between the two front seats and I would go and sit up there when every one else was asleep and talk to my dad. He says I would read the signs for him. I think I also would tell him what the speed limit was. Sounds so much like my children. I get my lead foot from my dad as you can tell. Behavior is learned early. Yes and this was way before seat belts. We took one trip that I remember with no seats in the van and a mattress in the floor. It was pretty fun.
The picture with Michelle, Stephanie, me and our cousin Jan and My Uncle Chuck or we foundly refered to him as Uncle Duck. Still do at times. This was the park by our house in Irving with a creek that they would go catch Craw dads in it. Now if you go by it it is a big cemented ravine. Kinda sad until several years ago the park still had the cool wood playground now it has been replaced with metal one. If you drive the neighborhood someone still has a piece of McDonald playground in their back yard. You remember climbing up the hamburglar part. Oh I am so stating my age.

My memory stinks alot of times but their are pictures that just send the memories flowing in.
