Happy Halloween

This is this years gang... Sorry a little blurry but what can you do with a camera phone.. Dalton, Carrie, Cole, Patrick, Asa, Alex Sebastian, Molly, Destinee, Eve, Hannah,Rebekah and Georgah. ( Missing-- Dakin, Dallin, Malcolm ) Clyde(my brother in law is the person in the funky hat behind the kids..look real hard you'll see him.
Our family has I guess what you would call a family tradition. Every Halloween since wow forever it feels we gather at my sister Stephanie's house and we take the kids trick or treating. It has become a big deal. Especially for the younger kids that can't wait to become a BIG kid so they can go on their own.
We have been doing this since my Sister Michelle moved to Arlington. It has been a lot of fun for the kids and adults too. Every year it is at least Michelle's, Stephanie's and my kids out their snatching up candy. Occasionally Tracy will be here and Adam comes over with his kids.(my other siblings.) I want to say the first year we did this everyone that had kids was there. Needless to say it has been fun over the years to see all the costumes and watch the older ones help the younger ones. On top of our families their is usually many others from our ward.

This year was a little different we were missing several kids due to football games, friends parties etc. And the ones who were regulars with us have moved away. The kids had a lot of fun and I enjoyed talking to my sisters and not having to worry about being some place. I have to give Stephanie credit. She just had surgery several weeks ago on her foot and even still has the pin in her foot and she walked with her boot. She was such a trooper she even took her daughter Georgah who wasn't quit done when others were to several more houses... She is such a good mom. I probably would have thrown in the towel after the first couple of houses. We covered the WHOLE neighborhood.

After we left Stephanie's we headed to go by a teacher's house and by Sebastian's best friends house since they both lived in the same neighborhood. Mrs. Thomas light was already out so on to Trappers we went. Kim (trapper's mom) is so sweet. Her daughter Kelsi opened the door and she and Kim looked so excited to see the kids. And of course in walked my kids. They act like it is their own house.hmmm
Well we got to visit and then she took us by a really cool house in their neighborhood. Evidently it was on the news tonight. It was so decked out... Strobe lights, lots of grave stones.etc.... you could tell this was WORK! He had professional lights strobe and colored he had attached to his room on a big stand. CRAZY COOL> Well, we enjoyed visiting with them we always do. And off to the house we came.
Something about this weekend with it being time change weekend. Even though we haven't changed yet I am already feeling the tiredness come on.

Tell me how crazy I am.... I was telling my kids last week that I just didn't want to work on the night the time changed. I would miss out on my extra hour of sleep and be at work for an extra hour. YUCK! So what do I go and do I volunteer to work Saturday not thinking about that change thing till after the fact. SMART GIRL HEATHER!!! SO while everyone else is enjoying their extra hour of sleep. I will be at work. Yeah ME!!!

I hope everyone had a great night. Thanks Stephanie for always being so willing to host us....
