I have a few minutes before I have to leave for work.. Yes it is almost 10pm and I will be headed to work.. such fun...
Anyways thought I would update the goings of our family the last several days. Wednesday Malcolm evidently forgot to take his medicine so when he got home from school and band practice he informed me that he had problems all day long.. oh joy... why didn't he call me... he didn't want to miss class..seriously...I know. So during Band rehearsal it was cold and rainy so they practiced inside. He leaned over and all went black...yes black.. he said he opened and closed his eyes and eventually it came back. (his sight) Yeah see honey this is what your body does when it says not enough blood to the brain after your heart beats 200 or so all day long... I know he is only 15 but at the same time I want to say you are 15 come on. How many times do I need to tell you. Needless to say he felt horrible the rest of the night. Luckily he had no homework. The next morning he still felt like crap and stayed home.. He had a hard time missing seminary. but I felt I needed to watch him a bit. SO the band director or one of them calls that afternoon to check on him since he wasn't at school. I explained the deal and he said he would try and keep an eye on him too at school and practice. I don't think Malcolm realizes his heart is getting worse. It is a good thing the surgery is scheduled for November. I really don't know how well he would do if he waited. He has had several problems lately even with taking the medicine like he is suppose to.
For the most part everything on the home front has been some what calm. I am dealing with a teacher of Eve's that says she had 3 zeros last six weeks. Yes I said last six weeks. Aren't we finishing up the 3 week of the next six weeks. I have tried to let Eve handle it and the teacher just blows her off. Finally I sent a note. Her response... I don't show Eve turned it in...This was the response after I had replied to her e-mail saying Eve had the graded papers all but one since she had cleaned out her notebook for the new six weeks thinking it had been handled. Yeah right. I as nicely as I could explained that Eve would be bringing the journal to show her that she had even written comments on what Eve wrote. This is my daughter that freaks if she makes a B on anything let alone her six weeks grade. I as nicely as possible told her I hoped it wouldn't take her long to fix the grade. I am hoping she understands that it has to be fixed. But she still seems to think Eve didn't turn them in. Not Eve.. Malcolm, Cole any of the other kids yeah ok maybe but Eve turns in everything.
Tonight is when the calm turned to stormy seas for awhile. I like I said work tonight so I was taking a nap and the kids were playing outside big kids included. They were playing with the neighbor across the street. Well, I get a kid waking me up saying I broke the car window.... Yeah not mine of course the neighbors. Oh joy. They had been playing hide and seek and Alex stepped on a rock and thought in his ADHD mind I need to show EVE.. Well he picks it up and throws it towards her hitting the window of the SUV and breaking it. Oh my GOSH! Really tonight... do we want to be doing this not so much. OK an hour later or so glass cleaned up luckily the neighbor is nice esp. his wife and it is costing me a whopping $179 plus tax to fix the beautiful window of that SUV. UGH>>>>> SO tomorrow they will be out to fix the window and I will be out that money. I should be glad that it didn't cost more. I guess ALex looked pretty scared and the man was concerned about if he was going to be beat...;) So the wife came over with the estimate and told me that it really was no big deal that her older son has done worse and she beat him for it and that she wanted to make sure I knew Alex didn't need a beating for it.
Ok I was mad but no beating here. Just trying to figure out how you pull that much money out of thin air...hmmm any one have a money tree....hehe.No I knew he felt bad enough but we are going to have to talk some common sense into his pretty little head. Well my time is up off to work I go.
