Back to the family chaos.

It has been so busy around here I thought I would take a few minutes to update on things around our house. I am still working on getting pictures on here the way I want them to so we will see.

This week I have tried to have a little more fun among the chaos. Malcolm started Band Camp and loves it. I am glad he has something that he enjoys so much. You know when I was in school it was more band geeks.. Well it has changed alot since then.
I have had coaches from the high school wanting Malcolm to do football this year. Even after explaining the whole health thing they still want him to come out and do whatever he can. The coach is super nice. But no more contact sports for him.

The kids got out and did sidewalk chalk. They had a blast. here are some pictures.

We went to the movies this week. The boys went to see the new batman movie while the girls went to see Sisterhood of the Traveling pants 2. Wow. I was hoping for a better movie. I love the first one. The second was good just not as good as I thought it would be. It was a little sticky at one point of the movie. I took Eve not thinking it would be too bad. It had some sexual references that she leans over and goes "what are they talking about". I don't know if it was worse that she was seeing something I now have to explain or good she didn't understand.:)
Before the movie started I took Eve and Mom(grandma) to get ice cream. Then after I took Malcolm, Alex and Sebastian to Applebee's to get appetizers. I actually met them there. Cole didn't want to go so we just took him something home. It was fun watching Malcolm be the big brother. I have watched and over the last couple of weeks he seems to be falling into a different role in life. A little more mature and more older brother to the little boys. Now don't get me wrong he has been the older brother deal for a while just this is different.
Thursday Eve, grandma, myself and my niece Destinee went to get our haircuts. Grandma was the last and we decided we didn't want to sit and wait. So we walked to On the Border for desert. Well we get there and they don't like the deserts so queso it was. The girls had a lot of fun. But true to form the girls being typical girls by the time they got home were complaining about their haircuts. Figures.I was too. I chopped alot of mine off and layered it. So it has been a challenge to get it to do right. but I finally got the hang of it this morning. And I love it. I even turned a couple of heads today which is always nice.

Tonight after getting up from napping so I can work tonight I took the boys to eat. Eve has spent the day with Destinee (her cousin) and now the night. So I decided I didn't really want to cook. We drove around not knowing where we wanted to eat. So we tried Black Eye Pea. Ok I remember the food being better. But the it was fun watching the boys interact with each other. It is nice that Malcolm and Cole are close in age and then Alex and Sebastian are close in age. And they are really close to each other. I just wish Eve had a sister to be by her age. I guess that is where it is nice to have girl cousins her age. Tonight I think it ended up being Hannah, Eve and Destinee together. The girls are pretty close in age. Hannah turned 12 in May. Eve turns 12 in November (OMG) and then Destinee turns 12 in a year. They seem to have a blast together.

Work is going pretty good. I will say today when I was out seeing a patient I was waiting to see if one would open their door and I hear gun shots. YEAH can we say I quickly got in my car and left. I called the office and said well that is one I won't be seeing today. She laughed and said her butt would have already be speeding down the highway I wasn't fast enough...;)

I also have pictures from the last week pack meeting. Alex received his Bear and Sebastian his bobcat. Even though Sebastian is 2 things from getting his Wolfe. They are both doing so good. Sebastian just turned 8 in May and already is almost done with his wolfe. YOU GO BOYS!!!
Well off to work I go...
