Back to normal!

Things are back to normal today. Kids running wild in the house. I went back to seeing patients in the heat tons, I mean tons of paperwork to finish. Chores half done. But that is ok. (today anyways).
So I went and got cell phones for Malcolm and turn on Cole's cell phone yesterday. Then I went back a got Eve a phone with another extra phone for the little boys to share. I got a really good deal I couldn't pass up. SO everyone is in heaven. Yet today I call the house phone. NO ANSWER! Cole, Malcolm no answer. Finally the little boys answer their phone. Hey they were suppose to be easier to get hold of what up with that?

Can you believe School starts in 1 month. OH heavens I can't believe that. Clothes to buy. School supplies to buy. What else? I got my call today to come sign my contract for the new job. So what's the problem? I don't really know with everything going on if that is the best job for me and my family. I know with everything going on with Malcolm I will need days off for lots of Doctors visits. HMMM what to do. Did I say I hate making decisions like this.

I hope by telling the next story I don't break any of the lovely hippa rules. But it was so cute. I see alot of Mentally Retarded patients. Or what we call MHMR patients. They all range with multiple diagnosis. I have this one patient who is my age and since the day she saw me with my blood pressure cuff and stethoscope she started crying. Now I swear I don't normally get this reception from people. It not as though I am carrying a huge needle.;) Well since I have seen her someone always has to hug her so I can get what I need. Today I walked in to all my friends. (all the MHMR patients and it is saying hello to all of them. Telling them how pretty them showing me their muscles etc. )Well this one patient walked up to me pointed to the table to put my cuff down. Which is normal than normally she runs. But instead she followed direction to sit and show me her shoes. She then get up and hands me the cuff and puts out her arm. Ah she finally likes me!!! Granted it only lasted a few seconds but she let me get what I needed. Then before I left she came and got me to show me her sore on her leg. She trust me.YES!!
This afternoon all of the staff put on a dance off for the patients. I was privileged to watch part of it. They turned on the music and started dancing with each other, by themselves. It was so precious. It gave them so much joy you could see it in their faces. At one point somebody told one of my patients to break dance.... He got down on the floor and laid on his back with his feet straight up in the air. He and all his friends were so proud of him for doing what they considered break dancing. It brought a little bit of joy to my life today. I am very blessed to have been able to work with these wonderful people.
