Just a question.. How long does Risk take to finish a game? It is like the everlasting gobstopper from Willy Wonka. It never Ends!!!! I guess if your trying to give your kids something to do to entertain themselves all day that is great. Alex asked last night if we could play a board game today. Ok so I forgot. At 8:40 he goes mom are we going to play a game? Uh, sure honey....
Thinking it would be something quick. Yeah not so much.He comes back after surveying everyone and says it is either Risk, Sorry, or Clue. Well everyone's second choice was Risk so instead of having a full out war for picking something different we decided to play RISK!!
Let me say I have never played Risk before. I know it isn't a quick game but come on how long could it take? Yeah, I was wrong. We started at 9pm tonight. At 11:57 Alex was the first to get out. Poor little man had been holding on to 2 countries. He thought he made and Alliance with Eve. What was he thinking cause in comes Eve battling for his little countries. Although I do have to say this She was following right behind him on little to no countries. So he gets out I think PERFECT! My way out. I tried to give him my countries which were everywhere. At that everyone decides they are done. So, at midnight the game is over. 3 crazy hours of one game. And technically it wasn't over. I quit. I tried to get them to leave it set up and we would pick it up tomorrow. NO can do. Someone might move pieces. One of them even said I could take a picture of it and we can double check it. >smile>
So, how long does this game last? Seriously, it was fun but does it ever end. I don't see an end to this game. It would have been a battle back and forth. My kids totally under estimated me and my search for power. Come on growing up in a house of 6 kids. And now with 5 kids. I have to get the power from somewhere.lol
But I underestimated Sebastian. He is a sly devil. Under the radar knocking them out one by one until he had all of Asia, most of Europe. Wow was I impressed.
It was a fun night. LOUD! Now let me say it again. IT WAS SO LOUD!!! Don't ever let Eve fool you. She is the loudest! I told her tonight that she has people fooled thinking she is a quiet girl. She just laughs.
I know I have posted alot today. Just had to write what I was thinking.
ANYONE UP FOR RISK?????

Clyde and I once played the same game for 1 week. hehehe Everynight we did write down where everything was, just in case one of the girls moved the pieces. Risk is lots of fun!
