The day...

Our ward changed the youth night back to Wednesday night. I haven't decided if it is good or bad. There were already two wards meeting there and then you add us. Can you say Crowded. Everyone was good about it last night but we didn't have our youth there either.
I do however have to say it was so nice to see my sister and neices and nephews on wednesday night again. I miss that. Before the ward boundaries changed we saw each other every Sunday and Wednesday. When it changed it was like going through withdrawal. Occasionally we would sneak out while the kids were in their activities and run to target or just sit and chat. Plus I enjoy seeing my neices and nephews there. I didn't get to chat with Stephanie since she is now in Cubs and Michelle wasn't there. But I did get several hugs from my neices. Aren't they sweet.
It just felt good to see everyone. Crazy? Maybe. Not like we don't live in the same town. But life gets busy and you don't always see each other as much as you would like.

Eve started voice lessons with my sister in law Sonia. Before Eve started them she was so nervous. "I don't sing good so I really shouldn't waste Aunt Sonia's time" On the contrary she has a beautiful voice if we could just give her a shot of self confidence in that area. She has several girls in choir who are quite ugly about things and haven't been nice. She absolutely loved her first lesson. She couldn't stop talking about it. Her response. Hey I am actually pretty good. REALLY? I just laughed. I was so proud of her for stepping out of her comfort area. Sonia has been awesome to work out babysitting with Eve to pay for her lessons. She babysits Aidan and Avery while she teaches her class on Tuesday. Thanks Sonia.

I received one of those forwarded e-mails about the top 100 baby names for 2008. Can you believe 4 out of 5 of my kids are on it. When I named most of my kids I thought they were different names. Except Alexander. I knew that one. But what surprised me that even Evelyn's name she was number 100. Really? Has it become that popular? I wonder if it is the family name or everyone trying to find a name that is different?
Malcolm was the only one of my kids who weren't on it. Which I figured. Even most of my neices were on it. Hmm. Eve was quite bothered by this she was hoping her name wouldn't be popular so when she names her kids it they would have a unique name. However most of her friends names were also on it. I wonder if the names rotate every 12 years or so?
Work has been absolutely crazy. Things are changing maybe for the better but we will see.
It seems like the end of last year and the beginning of this year is going way too fast. I got the email about EFY and sign up for this summer is next week. Seriously that just doesn't seem possible. Both Malcolm and Cole will be going this year. I am so excited for them. I know Sarah had a blast last year.

I have been trying to find some place to go for vacation this year. Any ideas? I have been trying to decided whether to fly somewhere or make a family trip driving. We need a good relaxing vacation this year so if you have any ideas for us let me know. I would like to leave the state. HMMM... I guess I need to research some things.

I meet with an attorney tomorrow about the car accident. After trying to meet with the insurance lady yesterday I decided I was done. I didn't have time to deal with her double talking. I really tried to be nice but when she tells me that she will evaluate my bills and decide whether they want to pay. Really... The Ambulance and ER had nothing to do with prexisting and I couldn't believe how crazy the bill for those were. Yikes. So for my sanity someone else will take over to get them to pay my medical bills. I tried to explain to her that it is still hard for me to work a regular shift at the hospital due to back and shoulder pain. Whatever....low impact doesn't cause that. Oh the joys of a car accident.

Off to the Chiropractor....

I know we talked about this today, but I just thought of some where for you to take the kids. Take them to Carlsbad Caverns. We did this years ago and we loved it! After we left there we drove about 2-3 hours to Roswell and did the whole UFO thing.

The girls still talk about it all the time. It is on our list of vacations to do again. Plus, it's an easy drive. Wonder how far it is from Uncle Chuck??

Candra I just figured we would come out for the blessing(fingers crossed)
Steph that is a really good idea. And we could stop at Uncle Chuck's house since we are out there. Hmmmm something to think of.

We did the UFO thing a couple of years ago and it was pretty interesting!! Chuck is about 2 hours from Roswell and 3 from
El Paso... They would love for you to come and visit. They have a hug seperate living/bed/kitchenette downstirs from the main house and you can look out the windows at the deer and bears..... :o)

Heather, thanks for letting me work out the deal with Eve. It works out great for me. Btw, tell her the mean girls are just jealous because she has a beautiful voice. That's what happens when you're so good...they get jealous, and then they get mean. She's got a great voice, and I loved working with her!
