Alex and Sebastian had their first basketball game. They both did really well. They are so very different in how they play both good in their own ways. It was alot of fun watching them. I spent most of the weekend in bed not feeling well and catching up on paperwork.
I have been really concentrating on work and not leaving anything undone for the next day. So far so good. I am very proud of myself. I have alot of paperwork with my job and to keep it up and not save it for the weekend is a big deal. :)
Nothing too exciting this week as far as family life goes. Finals etc. The kids had the day off today and I had a light day too. Oh yes my excitement I could have done without... I picked up the mail today and opened my electric bill. GET THIS $600 stinking dollars. And it is not summer... What the heck? I literally started crying.. No lie. My kids kinda looked at me funny I explained the amount of the bill then next thing I know they were doing dishes that I had complained they left in the sink.All of them. But seriously I am devastated. I know we had heater problems this last month and had to call a repair guy but this is double what it was last month. Yes I am still paying over $300 a month regularly. I figured out the house really isn't insulated through the windows etc. But I never thought I would end up with such a big bill. I had been waiting for this last bill so I could start average billing. So that the summer months I wouldn't be paying $600. YiKES!!!
What is worse I haven't been turning on the unit upstairs at all. The downstairs heat comes up stairs and sweats us to death at night. I guess there isn't anything to do except I told my kids well guys if your cold put some more clothes on cause the heat ain't coming on until we have too. So unless the pipes could freeze it stays off. I went to price space heaters so I can put one in my mom's room. She seems to be freezing all the time. And one in the den to keep it warm. Those are the only two rooms that seem to get cold at all. So that is on my list for payday.
Malcolm has been bugging me to have a game night again. We used to have movie or game night every Friday. Things got crazy and we quite. So I promised him we would have one today. So after our late dinner which we usually eat at 6 or 6:30 we ate at 7:30. He is so are we having game night? Me reluctantly yes, there are a few moans but we do it anyways. Granted by the time dinner is over etc it is now 8:10 or so. Since the little boys needed to be in bed at 9pm we started our short session. We played NICK scene it. It's worked well. They all seemed to enjoy them selves and it was just the right time frame. You know what is crazy is I am listening to my 3 older children playing xbox and hear a familar voice coming through the TV. My nephew. Technology is amazing thing. They can link up their game system with their cousins and play together all the time being at their own houses. hmmm interesting.
Well I have some pictures of tonight and random shots I found in my phone. Enjoy. Tomorrow we have a double game day and Malcolm and Cole are going to work the Marathon to raise money for Mark Evans. So morning is coming early... YUCK>

Holy moley...that's awful! I would've cried too. I wish we had some space heaters we could give you, but we've never had any! Let me know if there's anything we can do for you!
