I was waiting to get a picture of this before I posted about it. The other day while I was at work I got a call from Malcolm. It was 10pm or so. He was very upset to say the least.
Malcolm: "Mom, I know your going to be mad>"
(that is always a great way to start a conversation)
mom: " What's the problem?"
Malcolm: " The cat's got into the attic and I was trying to get them out..."
MOm: " What did you do? Tell me you weren't walking out in the attic?"
Malcolm: "yeah the cat tried to get away and I step on this part and well...
there is now a big whole in the ceiling by the bookcase downstairs."
Mom: " Why did you follow the cat? Why did you call me instead of waiting until I got off work? I am busy and I will call you back"
Probably not the way I should have handled it. I was in the middle of pulling out medicine at the hospital and totally could only think about great new house new whole!!
I called him back about 10minutes later and talked to him. I apologize for not handling it better he told me no you did ok.YEAH RIGHT! Seriously how could he have known that there isn't true flooring out there all I said was don't go into the attic. But when the AC was acting up I went in there. We of course have a door A REAL door to the attic from the gameroom. What crazy person thought that would be a SMART idea? That leads to little people opening the door to cats to go in. I am surprise the cats didn't melt up there. SO now I have this wonderful Man size foot hole in my den. When I got home it wasn't as bad as I thought. It is not pretty by any means. But at least my 5'11 son didn't come tumbling through the ceiling. :) SO enjoy the picture of the new decoration in our house. Now if my electric bill wasn't high enough last month I am cooling my attic too. "SMILE"
I guess this is one way to learn sheetrocking!!!

Oh the things that happen in life that you just have to laugh about! You should tell him that if he wanted you to look at the book case and remember him he could have put a picture there.. it may have been a little cheaper :)
So true! We laugh about the time when Malcolm and Cole decided to get up from their naps and flood the house. They were only 5 and 3 I had just had my wisdom teeth pulled and had Eve and Alex (new baby) in my room asleep. I thought it was safe to take a nap with vicodin. Yeah right they decided to plug the sink and go SURFING! Literally they had the top to their step stool and surfing down the hallway. Let's just say I wasn't laughing then. Now Ok a Little.:)
