You think that we would learn by now. Mom and I took advantage of all the kids being out of the house to get some things done around the house. We have been in this house for I think 6 weeks. Wow, has it been that long? Well we still had boxes in the kitchen, diningroom, livingroom and tons in the garage. So we work for 4 hours straight together. Mom had been working all morning on the boxes in her room. Then at about 8pm we decided to move boxes from the garage to the back storage shed or in the house for Grandma to go through tonight.Ha ha! Joke on us!
I cleaned the house except boxes, dusted etc. Totally cleaned the whole downstairs the normal good Saturday scrub. Then the boxes had to go. I hung curtains in the livingroom/new gameroom. Since we are using the gameroom upstairs for Malcolm bedroom I needed some place else to put the air hockey table so up front in the livingroom it goes with the piano, games etc. Here are the pictures of how things are going. Eve is so funny she can totally rearrange her room and have it spotless in 1hour at most. And she does it on a regular basis. Good heavens she has TALENT! You have to laugh look at the bedroom with everything on the bed this was Grandmas room after we brought in all kinds of goodies in from the garage. Our goal was to be able to put a car in the garage before she left. She leaves Monday afternoon. Didn't quit get there but pretty close. That is one picture I didn't take. Forgive the pictures they are with my phone. She will probably kill me for posting the picture. She will busy tonight before she can go to bed. The boys fixed up their room yesterday. Sebastian and Alex put up poster on their wall tonight and both are so proud of how they look. No rhyme or reason to them. Just something fun to put on them. Well you can tell by the picture there are still things to be done. Slowly but surely it will be done. I am determined to have some organization to this madness and try and decorate the downstairs. My kids rooms they have free reign on. Therefore the Michael Jordan poster, Clyde Drexler etc. They inherited them from grandma's stuff . Thanks Uncle Taylor I bet.
Since I am trying to really stick to a stiff budget I am allowing myself a small. I mean small amount of money for decorating. This last check was $5 not bad I bought 1 curtain panel (sheer) and a rod. Pretty cool. Only 8 or so more windows to do downstairs. :)

What you forgot to say Heather was that my room was almost clean (boxes gonem etc)until I unloaded some more of the boxes in the garage. Now it has to be clean again before I leave on Monday!
I did put it up at the top. You were working hard in your room. I guess this is what happens when we get too gung ho!
Looks like things are coming along :) We've been in our house 6 months now and I am still working on the house. It is a never ending project especially on a budget but i try and make a game out of it so that way I don't get so depressed :) Have Fun!!
Ok let me clarify this MOM has been working really hard. She almost had her room complete until you tell 5 kids to go put things in your room and they just dump it all on her bed. Well they wanted to be done so they hurried a little too much. The Livingroom full of boxes have been cleared out and We have A stack of empty boxes by our curve the trashman will not like in the morning. Our garage is half empty YEAH!
Way to go Mom!
