We had another trip to the ER tonight with Malcolm. I went into my boss today and asked for a personal day tomorrow. I could feel disaster looming. I had 3 kids not feeling well this morning and with Malcolm's heart I knew either today or tomorrow I would be in the ER with him. So I have tomorrow off.
Today Malcolm text me saying he was running high again. He already had been complaining of a sore throat and I was going to take him in to the after hour clinic. But since he was at 190 I decided to take him to the hospital instead. As we parked he converted to normal but by the time we got to the door he was back to 180's. We spent the next couple of hours in there. He took his meds on the way to the hospital and converted about 20 minutes into the er visit. They had fun with him. The doctor from the last visit was there and he told the doctor that was seeing Malcolm that he was a fun kid. Malcolm is the most good nature teenager I know. Especially when he is getting stuck with needle for an IV and everything being attached to him. As soon as they put the IV in he converted and stayed converted. We have now changed his medicine again (increased it) They waited and watched him did a strep culture and we waited on another dose of digoxin. He text his friends the whole time. I was glad he had something to entertain him.
At one point he was wish I could control this a couple of days off from school would be good.:)
Yeah I don't think so.
Well Cole and Eve really helped pick up the slack while was gone. Cole finished cooking the chicken on the grill after I left and finished the rest of dinner. Eve finished getting the boys in the shower and helped with homework. I am so grateful for my kids. They are such a big help. By the time I was headed home they were ready for me to be home. So it was a good thing Malcolm didn't have to stay over night. Sebastian and Alex have been feeling so crummy that they just wanted their mom home.
Well off to bed I go.
PS Malcolm has started text messaging all of us to have a Interesting day! Yeah you could say I did do that today. Maybe I should have him change what he wishes us.:)
