Tonight Cole had his first football game. Well it was a scrimmage but it gave me an oppotunity to see him in his jersey. I forgot how small 7th graders are. Maybe it is because of going to the high school games the last couple of weeks.
When Malcolm and I walked up we saw all of the players. I looked at Malcolm and say" Man they look so little, but Cole isn't little." How is it when your child stands next to you he is 5'4 but on the field with his pads and everything he looks so small. Hmmm
He played center on the offense and defensive line. Somehow I missed the center part. The way the do the scrimmage it's difficult to see where everyone is. They actually have 2 games going on at once. One at each 40 yard line. It gives the kids an idea how to play each position. The center position was new as of this morning. He said he was having problems because the quarterback was so short. I am looking forward to watching him play. I know he will do great.
I ran into an old friend tonight at the game. It was someone I met through my ex husband when we were married. Her husband was friends with my ex. Their son is playing with Cole this year. It was nice catching up with her and seeing their new little girl. She is beautiful.
Well, everyone is super tired tonight. Eve bless her heart cooked dinner and took care of the boys tonight. Today was busy for me with work and so I didn't finish up with patients and then ran home picked her up,went and picked up Alex and Sebastian's from Asa's house and ran real fast to the chiropractor. Only to return home drop them off make a couple of PB&J sandwiches and head up to get Malcolm and go to Cole's game. I finally got home to drop off Malcolm at 8:15 tonight then left with Eve and Alex to get Cole from the school.
Now everyone is in bed and asleep and it is only 9:30. WOW! Eve and Mom even cleaned up the kitchen tonight. Thank you. That let me be able to head to bed soon too.
off to bed I have a busy week.
