I have an amazing group of neices and nephews in my family. Each one of them with their own seem to teach me different things or just touch a special place in my heart.
Georgah is my 9 year old neice. This is my sister Stephanie’s daughter. She is so much like my Alex who is also 9. They both I swear have bits of the energizer bunny in them. Georgah has been on my mind lately. She came over the week before Thanksgiving so Grandma could watch her since she was sick and unable to go to school. She sat with me in the living room watching tv while I did my paperwork. The conversations you have with her are never expected. She and I have been able to go on shopping trips where she shares her secrets and talks about life. I swear she is always smiling. I know she isn’t but even when she is trying to be mad she looks like she is hiding a smirk under there. She found a little pink poodle at my neighbors garage sale and just had to get it for Eve. She simply left it on her bed so she would find it when she got home from school. Eve thought that was the sweetest thing. (I did too) I had offered to buy her one she said no thanks. I have enough.
When I was in the same ward with my sisters Michelle and Stephanie is was great seeing all my nephews and neices every Sunday and Wednesday. They Georgah and Rebekah always were running with a hug. I miss that. I miss watching them grow up like I had been. We had been in the same ward for a long time.
This week at Thanksgiving Georgah knew I wasn’t having a great day since I had just had surgery the day before. I found a very comfortable chair and ottoman in the corner of the room. Georgah comes over picks up the blankets and climbs in the chair next to me. We have a short conversation about how I was feeling and she snuggles up next to me and we watch everyone play guitar hero. She climbs in and out a couple of times always finding her place next to me.
Georgah is becoming a beautiful young lady. I am amazed every time I see her and talk to her how much she has grown up. I wish I could explain how much she means to me and how special she is. Stephanie just sent me a picture of Georgah with this bandage around her head. With Georgah style her tongue sticking out and a smile on her face. I think one more benefit is Eve is enjoying Georgah new found friendship with her cousin. It is like having a little sister.
Stephanie you and Clyde are doing some amazing things with your girls. She is growing up to be an amazing young lady.
I just didn’t want to pass up a chance to talk about Georgah. I knew after seeing her picture I had to post what an amazing neice I have. ( I have many more too. ) How lucky can you get.

I agree, Geargah is something else. She came over with Stephanie after my surgery and I swear, she just made my day. She has a way of making you smile, such a sweetie pie!
