Merry Christmas!

Santa came and the kids did the HAPPY DANCE! Literally! Malcolm, Eve and Sebastian woke me up early. When they woke me up I had kinda forgotten it was Christmas morning. They were standing over me and were "Come on" Then it clicked.
They were all so excited to see what Santa brought. I missed seeing Alex and Cole though. It helped that the others were so excited for the items they received. I thought Sebastian would go straight for the bike and not get off it. They weren't sure it was his. :_) Once they sat down by their stockings they all went into their stockings first. Malcolm found an ipod and Eve found jewelry. Sebastian found a pocket size fm radio with headphones. Then he got excited about the bike. Malcolm and Sebastian didn't take their listening devices off the rest of the morning.

Even Callie and Abbey our cats got goodies in their stockings. Just some treats and a play toy they want nothing to do with. But walk by them with your robe string attached and they attack. Go figure.

Sebastian was dressed and outside on his bike by 7:30 or so. Yes am! He was so excited. What is great is we have sidewalks so it is less worry for me.
We had pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast and ended up sitting on the couch and the tv happened to be on the soap network. General hospital. We watched it for about 30 minutes and talked. Then it was time to take them to meet up with Cole and Alex at their dad's house.

Cole and Alex both received bikes which made Sebastian even more excited. That means someone will ride down to the elementary school with him. I was able to say Merry Christmas to the boys give them hugs and off I went. I pray they have a good day there.
Malcolm did tell me this morning " thank you mom for making me feel better." One day he will realize it wasn't just me reassuring him but Heavenly father too.

It is really weird not having them here. All the toys and remnants of Christmas are all over the house. I should clean up breakfast etc. But I really just want to go get in my bed and watch tv and maybe take a nap.

I know how lucky I am to even have been blessed with my children. I have to remind myself that there are people celebrating Christmas without their love ones. And they can't just go pick them up. They have accomplished what they were meant to on Earth and are spending this wonderful time with God. So I know how lucky I am. I just have to keep reminding myself when I start to feel the other way.

All and all Christmas has been good. We will go this afternoon and see my aunt and cousins and to my siblings. Some at least. Then tomorrow we have our family Christmas party.

Merry Christmas!
