I think I have been a little in the Grinch mood here lately. Not on purpose but just with everything going on I guess.
So today Alex had his Christmas party.I showed up to the school to go to it and it happened to be at the same time Sebastian was going to lunch. I was talking to his best friend's Trapper mom. When he saw me he got all excited thinking I was eating lunch with him since Kim (trapper's mom ) was eating with Trapper.
So I went and dropped of Alex's teachers gift and told him I would be back in 30 minutes. Sebastian was so excited and Alex could care less.
I ate with Sebastian and Trapper and his mom and sister. The boys love hanging out together. They are very rarely apart. There for awhile they were at each others house every weekend. Unfortunately, after 4th grade they won't go to school together which really stinks. Trapper is a good kid and would love for them to stay in school together. Trapper's grandma is their 3rd grade teacher. Sebastian and Trapper became friends in kindergarten and it has just stuck. Even with Trapper being at a different school in 1st grade the two of them got back together in 2nd and they never stopped it was like they were never apart.
After lunch I went into Alex Party and they were finishing eating and were going to play a game. These 2 ladies came up to me and told me I was in for a ride with Alex as he gets older. They both have girls and they just love Alex to death. (the mom's)
He has this way about him that they think is so cute. I can't explain it. He used to like both of their daughters but I think has moved on. At least I hope one of them he had text message he loved her. WHAT? Seriously? That is when I told him no more text messages to anyone other than cousins. Seriously I couldn't get it through his head that he was 9 and those words it was just too early for. So I hope he has moved on. Please....
I don't know how many of you have the same problem I do. Making sure the gifts are even. Yes that is my headache right now. Especially since 3 are with me for Santa and 2 with Ramesus(ex). So I sat on the floor in front of the tree and stacked the presents counting while my mom wrapped the others. Thanks mom! I knew I was needing something more for Sebastian I had not realized I needed something else for Cole. hmmm good thing I counted. I was way off.
Tonight we did family home evening since it didn't get done on Sunday or The rest of the week. I had bought the Chocolate Orange. You know the one with the Christmas story attached to it. I think it used to be on the box and now you would have to find it on the internet if you didn't have a copy. We used to read the story every year and the last couple we haven't. AT literally bedtime we were having Family home evening. I have to admit there was no prayer or singing. So technically is it FHE? I am counting it. The kids were so funny. Especially Sebastian he wanted to read the story and it is a little on the long side so everyone sat and listen I think more in the fact that they would get part of the orange including Grandma. He did a good job reading it. He scanned through it to pick out words he didn't know and asked so he wouldn't get tripped up.:) They all loved the story and the ORANGE> Hmm it was definately delicious... I even saved part of it for tomorrow for everyone. If you haven't read the story you should. If you don't have it let me know.
Well I should be in bed and wanted to put something upbeat on here for a change. This week has been pretty good.It seems like it has flown by. CRAZY FAST! I see my surgeon tomorrow to get a final release. Yes I worked this week without officially being released. But I just couldn't sit at home and not get a paycheck. The week went well and it was so sweet how many of my patients were worried about me and my health. Instead of me telling them to becareful etc. they were telling me that I needed to do this and that... It was too cute.
