What do you do in the Wintertime?

What do you do in winter time? You know the song but it says summer time. Well, today is what Texas calls a winter day. Ice Ice ice.... By my house it's not too bad just a couple of patches. But try and cross the bridge over the highway and it is ice. Yeah us.
We were so hoping on an ice day. I took kids to school of course we were running late but everyone made it on time. Yes! I had one patient I had to see to give insulin. After crossing the bridge and driving on the ice on Cooper I called my boss and told her the situation and she said go home. Don't even make try to get to North Arlington. So I slowly turn my car around and head home.

I know the freeway over passes are bad in places and of course my schedule today was to be all over the overpasses. They were laughing on the radio this morning to leave the big gulps at home and to take a potty break before you leave because you will be sitting on the highway forever. They still had a wreck that happened at 4am still there at 9am this morning. Emergency vehicles aren't being able to get to the accidents.

I prefer not to be in the accident either. So here I am enjoying my free day.
